CoSTUME NATIONAL Woman FW12/13 Fashion Show

“For the next Fall-Winter collection, I’ve been inspired by the New Wave-No Wave-Dark Wave movement. My women have a metropolitan and post-punk attitude, they combine androgynous and feminine silhouettes, natural and patent leather, they dress in layers though like to show their bodies, they wear knee-high boots, double hard-and-soft clutches and mirrored maxi sunglasses. They face the future without fear, dressing up in the evening in a cobweb T-shirt or a tuxedo combined with ankle boots.”

Said Mr. Ennio Capasa, chief designer of CoSTUME NATIONAL.
The latest collection, Donna FW 2012-2013, has been inspired by the new subculture of punk rock movement originated in NY in late 1970’s– early 80’s.Combining materials and textures, irregular 3D layers, asymmetric cut give the perfect contrasts to the world of dark colors like black and navy which are the signature colors of the brand. Sportswear in combination with tailoring and coat with technological laser cut are also very characteristic style of the brand through the both collections, Donna and Homme.
Dresses are very rock chic yet feminine with the eye-catching contrast of natural and patent leather. And the oversize maxi trousers – which would be one of the most trendy items of this season - are shown in bold black leather.
Minimal clutch, knee high boots and ankle boots of calf leather are hard yet sexy. Masculine oversize hat gives us strong impact and lady feel at the same time.

As Ennio Capasa himself said, this collection fascinates us with his beloved metropolitan women who have strong attitude of post punk and unique sexuality of androgyny.
